ISO 200. Woodland Park Zoo. These tigers are definately- really intimidating. They (the three of them in one enclosure) were staring me down the whole time. Made me happy to go watch my laid back and friendly looking Portland Amur Tigers again. :)
Have a great week!

Another amazing animal shot. You seem to capture the "soul" of animals. It just radiates from your images.

Hi Nichole
Nice eye contact although his intentions might not be so nice. These are big animals and they radiate an aura of power so I can understand why you felt intimidated.
Your composition and framing are well done. This is one of those times where a closer crop actually works fine. The colours are rich and well saturated. DOF & BG is good with nice sharp details.
Very well done and TFS.

From rain to rain , Oregon to Washington, from tiger to tiger, Amur to Sumatran. I am heading to Bali in a few months and I was just reading sadly how tigers disappeared there...

i love this..and tigers..any big cats..i saw a tiger in the wild and it is most intimidating..more so than lions since they are 'cool' the tiger suggests imminent death...
regarding the amurs..there was a tv show last night which featured them...apparently there are only 40 left in the wild...bad show..
my w/s is to get some real menace in those eyes
god bless
