Another view of a silver seagull which are found in quite large numbers at most beaches. Trying to improve on focus of these birds.
WS is a closer zoom view.

This is a good sharp head shot Murray, with strong front light, it almost looks like a bust. This provides good detail on his head and front, with a darker area on his back and wings. Not bad, just an observation. Depth of field is good with good focus on the bird and isolation of his background. Looks like the wind was playing havoc with his feathers a bit.

Thanks, John

Hello Murray,
The bird is captured with superb details!
I notice the well groomed plumage, the red legs and beak provide good colour contrast...
Well composed presentation!

Hello Murray,
I like the color and sharpness in this gull portrait, esp. the blur cast on the white feathers. Well done. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Murray,
I saw a lot of imprevement on your last shots. This one is very sharp, nice details, and neat.
Superb shot.

Murray, as interesting as this shot is, - the gull being semi-pigeontoed, ruffled feathers and all, - I think your zoomed version is the better photo, and I would recommend you post it as a primary.

One concern I have is that the whites are bluish. What sort of PP - if any - did you do?

Hi Murray,

A nice image of the silver gull on the rock, the photo has a good composition, sharpness and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Pierre
