|Narooma, on the east coast of Australia, has some of the clearest waters I have ever seen. Largely this is due to the lack of rivers running into the ocean, which reduced sediment. Before departing on a boat for Montague Island, we saw several of these in Narooma Harbor where I took this photo. On the trip to Montague Island the ocean was filled with these. |

Hi Mike and Happy New Year.
You've captured a very unusual looking jellyfish. I've never seen this species before...probably because I haven't been to Australia. Your right about the clarity of the water, it looks so clean. Awesome colour and detail.
A fine looking colorful specimen captured nicely Mike, but quite strange for me, am as curious as you are on the correct ID...
