[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The last four weekends have been cold, windy and wet; miserable winter conditions for getting out of town and hunting for subjects. At least I suppose it doesn’t snow here!

Anyway, two weekends ago I visited Carrington Falls looking for fungi. In the car park, a pair of Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltria australis) were hunting for invertebrates in the wet forest litter. Although conditions were quite gloomy, I managed a couple shots at 1/30 sec including this one. I know the focus is a bit soft, but they’re an attractive species, I hope you like it.

Eastern Yellow Robin is found through eastern Australia. They are the same size as a House Sparrow and live in most types of eucalypt forest, rainforest and heath.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Chris, nice shot of this yellow robin. He's presented a great pose for you on that bare branch, and you've got his eye. Very nice all round shot. So how's the flow at Carrington Falls?

Hi Chris,
A beautiful capture of this lovely bird. Very good composition and good details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Chris,
I like the pose of this Yellow Robin. Colors are vivid and well saturated. Nice off background that made this Yellow Robin stands out. Very well done.

Hello Chris,
I do like the pose and eye contact. The colors look very natural. I know you were shooting in dark dreary conditions, but I think I would lighten a tiny bit. I think your focus was good especially for a shutter of only 1/30.
It will be sunny and 98 degrees F. here today, but very humid. We have had much rain also.
Best Wishes,
Ken

Hello Chris,
I missed this one: you made a good job of capturing the Eastern Yellow Robin in poor light which resulted in a bit of softness, but the yellow breast contrasts beautifully against the dark BG and the pose and catchlight in the eye make this well worth posting.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan
