I'm reasonably sure this small coulourful fungi is (Calocera sinensis) but I could be wrong. As I've stated on other Australian fungi I've posted, fungi taxonomy and information is hard to find.

It was a small fung only 10-15mm high. I found them growing on this rotting log after rain. Taken in Barren Grounds Nature Reserve, about 90km south of Sydney.

Hi Chris,
It certainly is colorful. Rich vibrant color. You should be able to see those from quite a distance in the woods even though they are small. Excellent detail and depth in this shot.

G'day Chris
I also have shot this fungus up in Qld and found it to be a hard fungus to shoot!! It is so bright in its colour.

Hello Chris,
Nice capture of this small fungus, the orange showing well without colour blur. Sharp and well composed with good contrast against the dark log.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Chris.
What a nice colourful close-up shot you have created. Your POV is very impressive and diagonal composition is very nice. I also like the quality of reproduction of texture of the trunk and amazing colour tones of the fungi. Well done and TFS.

Hola Chris,
Bella imagen, el color y la luz excelentes, esta especie es muy similar a otra común que tenemos por aquí. Un cordial saludo

This species glow like fire in the forest. I am sure car tuners would love to have this colour in the paint of their spoilers :)
I had never seen this specie, it is very beautiful and looks really healthy here.
Thanks again for your rarities on Australian mycology.
Regards, Felipe.

HI Chris,
What vibrant colors! This is a tribute to LIFE.
I like your title for the pic.

Hi again Chris,
A treasure for us from the Aussie mycology. I like to see fungi of other continents - and also the European ones, of course - so Your theme seems very interesting to me.
Technical comment: I like the photo with this strong, vibrant yellow, though - by my opinion - it's a bit (but only a little touch) overexposured and I should have cropped more from the bottom. Otherwise it's excellent. Good title, too.
I'm of course not sure about the ID, because this specie doesn't live in Europe, but I already met its "brother", Calocera viscosa here.
Tfs again, bye, László
