[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Fairies Aprons (Utricularia dichotoma) are a fairly common herb found in damp depressions and the edges of swampy heaths through much of coastal eastern Australia. The flowers are 15-20mm wide at the top of a 200mm leafless stem. The plants flower from August to March.
This pair were taken in Budderoo National Park.

Hi Chris!

Rather hard to capture with good composition, but you did it very well. I like contrast between dark BG and sunny and colorfull petals. Very interesting shape of flowers. Good work!

Hola Chris,
Unas florecillas curiosas para mí, me gusta la composición y sus bellos colores. Saludos

Bonjour chris,
Merci de nous faire découvrir cette plante très curieuse : en France, toutes les espèces d'Utricularia ont des fleurs jaunes.

Hello Chris,
Nice showing. Sharp and well saturated colors. I like the composition. TFS this fine picture.

Hello Chris,
Wow, what strange and beautiful flowers you've captured here. Very interesting shapes and fabulous colours. Nicely cropped to show the long stem too.
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Hi Chris, this is a beautiful shot on your part. I've never seen these flowers before, and you've presented them well, with very good detail and colour on the flowers themselves.

Thanks, John

Hello Chris,
Lovely pair, looking like lamp shades. Wonderful and rare color provides nice contrast with background. Nothing to complain about here; perhaps the flowers could be a bit lower in the frame. Very well done.
Best wishes,
