|Fire has been used by Aboriginals in Australia, and especially in the top end of the Northern Territory, as a land management technique for thousands of years. Those practices continue today.|
This photo was taken after a burn (natural or deliberate - who knows?). The logs are smouldering and the grasses have been burnt. A lone palm tree stands singed but still green.
