Easter Lily
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Easter Lily or Naked Lady is a South African plant which has made its way to the South West of Western Australia. It survives the harsh summer underground, all its reserves protected in a large bulb the size of a grapefruit. Then it flowers in March (Easter Lily), without any leaves showing until a month or so later (hence its other name: Naked Lily). A weed certainly in the Australian bush, but a very nice looking one.
Three focus stacked photos with a black background, a no-flash outdoor technique I am slowly mastering. |
