Hi Chris,
Yes, it's hard to catch the dragons in flight, but I think you managed it well here. Colors, light, composition and the plain background look very nice.

Best wishes,

Hi Chris,
This is really nice shot of a Tau Emerald in flight. :-)
Australian Emerald has very unique yellow shape of abdomen against other countries' species. It's very impressive to me.
Nice capture with excellent details, well focused and fine BG.
TFS and best regards,
Kevin

Hi Chirs
A splendid in-flight shot of this beautiful dragonfly species from you and definitely a boost in quality from the old dragonfly shots (not that they were bad or anything).
I'm very impressed with the sharpness here on the tau's head and thorax. You're right, the DOF is a little too shalow, but at least this way you have a very clear head and focus on those tucked-in legs that are actually quite cool :)
Wonderful colors and excellent composition, too.
Bravo and TFS

Hi Chris,
fantastique image ce cette libllule en plein vol, parfaite maîtrise de la lumière et des couleurs, mais surtout du mouvement des ailes qui semblent immobiles.

Hi Chris,
You did well.
I've never even attempted to capture a dragonfly in flight.
Interesting point about the legs. I've never really thought about where the undercarriage goes before.
Good detail and colour, and an interesting note.
Cheers,Steve

Hello Chris,
I see you've gone in for the in-flight challenge! The front half of this dragon is pretty sharp and the composition is excellent!
It's great when you succeed, but as you say, it's not easy!
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Chris,
I would say you are getting the technique down pretty well. I have tried this a few times with no success what so ever. Nice frame filling shot. Head and body do have nice sharp detail. A good exposure here. Colors are great. I am gonna have to keep practicing.

I have tried capturing bird in flight so I am amazed you cought something as small and fast as a dragon fly.
