Hi James,
an impressive sight, and it's interesting to see the detail of the water courses that have been carved down it's flanks over the ages. A nice composition too, the tree is well places to the side and adds some depth too.Beautiful colour.

Hello James,
Good way of showing Uluru, this famous Australian landmark: showing part of it in more detail. Excellent lighting that emphasises the ridges that transverse it and fine scan from 5 yrs ago.
Thanks for sharing this,
Ivan

It looks like an old crinkled paper bag!
Amazing colours that are very rich and vivid.
Great idea to crop in close.
Well done James.
Thanks,
Joe
James;
You should see our living room. It is already rather small but now my wife has brought out all of her old textbooks from many years ago...and has been rereading much of the geology. We found some commons as per yesterday...as in the dust bowl time in OK and Texas...and now this one..Through you excellent recorded picture tour, through her an now on to me...we are buried in geology! I don't know what to do first..thank you or call for a maid~!

Hi James
I think it was a good idea to zoom in and to create a different picture from what we usually see. The composition with the tree on the right is fine and the colors are fabulous. I personally would even zoom in more or crop the picture in order to hide the sky, leaving only the foreground and the rock.
Kind regards
Markus

Hello James,
Tell us a place where you haven't been!! This place has never tempted me as I would imagine there being masses of tourists, but I'm quite sure it's most impressive once you're there! I like your close view of the texture of the rock and the colour is fabulous. The only little tree fits very well here and you've place it nicely to the side. A fine composition!
Many thanks, also for the interesting note, Ulla

Hi James,
You are a master of desert and desert-like landscapes! It is simply great! Fantastic colours, sharpness and panoramic POV. At first I was thinking that it was taken somewhere in Africa :)
Very good work!

Hi James
An unusual image of the famous Ayers Rock.
The colours are bursting out of the frame, and the image looks more like a painting from Van Gogh than a photograph. This is meant to be a compliment!!
