Shot taken at Sleepy Bay in Freycinet National Park. The granite rocks are orange due to lichen.
Lichens are slow growing associations between fungi and photosynthetic symbionts. They are widespread, and commonly found as primary colonisers on soil-less surfaces. They utilise rainfall for the water and dissolved minerals. Thus their absence indicates polluted environments.

Beautiful seascape, Toni. I've only been to NSW, not Tasmania, but I'll be sure to see it next time. The colors are spectacular!

Hello Toni!
Wonderful landscape.Vivid colors,framing,DOF and composition are excellent.TFS...

Very moody, inspiring and tranquille landscape, fairly good exposed ...

Toni, This is a great perspective of the bay. You composed the shot very well with the elements of FG, cliffs, sea and sky combined very well IMO. The reds of the lichen and the patches of kelp visible in the sea help the make the shot great..Very well done!

Salut Toni - WOW absolutelly spectacular POV and colours. Reminds me a bit of the 'Corniche Coast' in southern France.
You were verylucky with the weather. Even the sky is perfect.

Great shot.

Lovely capture Toni. Lots of nice colours in this shot. A very tranquil setting. Good POV. Nice work. Thanks

Wonderful landscape/seascape, Toni.

The colors are beautiful, lighting is good, POV and setting are lovely.

Thank you for sharing this composition with us.

I didn't know this fact about the lichens, thank you again.
