This large green tree frog (about 12 cm) had just been for a swim in our pool when I found him emerging from the water between some bush rocks. He settled down on the rock and remained perfectly still, allowing me to take some good closeup shots. At night he often comes close to the house and enjoys eating the insects attracted by the fluorescent light. He loves to devour with a single gulp the brown rhinoceros beetles which often fall onto their backs and become quite helpless. |
