[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the very beautiful Red Five-corners (Styphelia tubiflora), one of the few flowers to found in abundance during winter. They occur on moist sites in open forest with a heathy understorey on sandstone geology. The slender tubes are about 25mm long and the shrub itself grows to nearly a metre high.

Hello Chris,
Lovely capture of these wonderful flowers. The colour is so beautiful and details very sharp. A fine background to to set them off. The flora of Australia is so different and beautiful!
Many thanks and best wishes, Ulla

On the road now with slow connection. Just marking up the best ones this time.

Hello Chris!
Beautiful and ery colourful composition. I like this close-up a lot, you controlled DOF and light in perfct way. A note is a little too short as for someone like me (this species was not known for me before), but still informative :)
Regards from Poland!

Hi Chris,
Beautiful macro shot, perfect focus, colors and blurry bg. Just an idea: what do You think about giving more contrast selectively to the bg? It may make the image even more outstanding. The same goes to out-of-frame petals (although heavy PP is forbidden on TN).
Tfs, cheerz, László
