This is a pink flowering gum but I am not sure what it's proper name is.
It's a syzygium australe maybe, definitely a syzygium or lilly pilly. I've just googled it and its not austral but could be a hybrid of it.
It is growing near Crescent Head on the NSW north coast.
The flower was in the shade of the rest of the tree but it was relatively still and not too dark.
I have sharpened the image a little. |
