This photo was taken at Redcliffe in their public park. This turtle was out sunning himself in the early morning I liked the reflection I hope you do too. For those who are interested watch for the next posting. The image caught me by surprise. You might be surprised too. This photo has been cropped.

Emydura macquarii krefftii

Occupies coastal river systems of Queensland, from the Mary River in the south, north to Charlotte Bay.

Can be distinguished from other members of the complex by the yellow stripe behind the eye.

Some consider Krefft’s River Turtle a full species.
