Another common visitor to my bush block. This male Scarlet Robin did not want to perch in a more natural setting, so I used the fence symmetry to frame it.
Scarlet Robins (Petroica multicolor) are widespread in the less dry parts of the South-East and South-West of Australia. They like gardens, parks and woodlands. The females are brownish with just a hint of an orange breast. About as cocky as the European Robin, but very colourful as the Latin names implies.
