Golden Feather Flower
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Another species of Verticordia or Feather Flowers. This one is V. chrysantha, from the eastern parts of the SW of Western Australia.
This particular specimen is growing in the garden of the Eastern Hills branch of the WA Wildflower Society. I have also seen it in the wild, about 100km east of Perth.
The numerous and long lasting flowers attract much insect life including some native bees. They adapt readily to cultivation as long as they are not over-watered and over-fertilised.
If you cannot see the details of the flowers, adjust your screen brightness down a bit.The yellow colour is rather over powering! |
