[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another large and spectacular flower that grows in the NSW Southern Highlands where I live. That flower is about 16cm long. The plant prefers open forest. The flower colours vary a bit from yellow through orange to red. They are much loved by both bees and birds (especially lorikeets), some of which damage the flowers as they pick off the flowering spikes for the nectar.
They keep on flowering well into autumn.

Beautiful click but I disagree by your setting, was the much wind that you pushed the shutter speed
1/3200 sec to this limit
f/2.8 instead you have to pull this up to f/11 or f/16 for maximum depth
and this ISO 1600 was not that low light.
Sorry my bad habit of critique and hope you beside the other viewers don't mind.

It is a good idea for a hair brush....so is not going to herd the skin of head:-)
