April means the early autumn in south eastern Australia. One of the most amazing things is that at the same time when cold winds started blowing off the colourfull leafs from introduced trees like maples, next door the local plants were happy about the upcomming rain and immediatelly start to bloom.
The tree is not a Eucalyptus, but is Hakea laurina, known as pin cushion Hakea. THKS to TE memeber vjmite
