Continuing my series on Australian damselflies, here is a male Blue Ringtail (Austrolestes annulosus) of the Family Lestidae.
This species inhabits sedgelands and reedlands of swamps, lakes and freshwater lagoons through southern Australia. This one was captured at Killalea Lagoon south of Sydney. They have a wingspan of around 50mm.

Cool shot of this guy well presented in panorama view.

Hi Chris,
What a beauty! Very beautiful color saturation with sharp detail. The isolation and seperation from the backround is superb here. Green OOF backround makes a beautiful back drop to show the intricate detail you have captured. Comp. and framing look excellent.

Hi Chris,
This is a fine presentation of this lestid damselfly, a species we missed during our Australien visit.
I especially like the POV and composition and it's pretty sharp.

Hi Chris!

Excellent pose and moment :-) It is smiling to you :-) Wide frame is very good choice here. Very well composed, with blurred BG and nice colours. I like it!

ps. thanks for your comment to my 600th post. I'm really glad [and proud] that because of my works you changed your mind about Poland! This is what TN is about - to meet friends from end of world and to learn new things about their places :-)

Hi Chris,
Very well captured!!
I know it's very hard to capture damseflies.
This species looks weird. Every Australian odonata look different with other countries' one. It's amazing to me. Have you seen the Petalura ingentissima? Maybe you know what that species is.
Thanks for sharing!
