Is this the result of low tides??? hmmm...if so then they are at a peak high and low which is when us folks who lived on the NorCal coast used to go Abalone hunting..now considered a rare prize...Wonderful image 'tony and a nice dedication!

The clarity of this beautiful landcape is outstanding. It is such a pristine scene which looks untouched by man. The shades of browns and greens and the perfect blue sky are beautiful. A superb composition - I'm sure your photos are making many of us want to visit New Zealand.

What a large beach you captured here, it seems to go on forever. The water seems to draw your eye to the background nicely. The clusters of rocks seem to add nice interest to your image. This looks like a beautiful place.

I've been out of town for much of the past 3 months but am back now for the summer. I'm glad to see that you are still posting landscapes/seascapes. They seem to be rarer these days on TN. I love your seemingly deserted beaches. This is a really sharp image.

I'm pretty sure your camera has an auto-bracketing feature. You might try to take multiple shots of a scene like this and clone in or blend two of them so that the sky/clouds could be better exposed.... just a thought.

Hi Tony,

I think landscape shots are pne of the most difficult kinds in photography for the sheer number of elemenst the photographer has to think of to bring in a balanced manner in the composition.Pankaj our mutual friend on TN also mentioned this recently in his post.
This shot you present is proof of this very fact.

The mountains afar, the sandshore, water and the rock formation in FG and the bl;ue sky provide fantastic combinations in this composition.Perfect exposure, colours and lighting in this shot with a nice PoV managing a fine DoF.Very well done.

This is a very beautiful coastal scene.
There is a great divergence in the shapes and textures.

What a beautiful view of this coastal inlet. I expect it is low tide as the sand looks so smooth. It looks very peaceful and untouched by man! Excellent POV and great DOF showing very sharp details and lovely colours. I like the rectangular size of this capture too. Well done!
