A sun orchid - Thelymitra venosa - in the undergrowth on the Mason's Bay - Freshwater walking track on Stewart Island. Did not notice the 'face' on the flower until the film had been processed.

Taken on Fujichrome 200 film with Nikon F-401 camera 35-70,, zoom. Scanned directly from transparencies.

Hallo Neil
Although the quality of the image is not so good, I like this image very much, mainly because of 2 reasons. Purple is my most favourite colour and secondly for that cute little "angle-face" seen in the flower. It is really amazing how nature surprises us sometimes. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
