[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have posted this shot of Lake Wanaka as "coasties" posted almost the same shot taken about 5 weeks later! The lake level was alot lower when I took my shot - we had a fair bit of rain in that 5 weeks. The lone willow is a much photographed one and is also the setting for many lakeside weddings - Wanaka has become very popular as a wedding destination for couples from overseas. I have photographed 3 weddings this year at this spot - I guess the couples like the dramatic background. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Ali,

Outstanding picture. Excellent composition. The DOF is perfect at the picture is balanced. The time of day, the angled shore, shadowed mountains and tiny island in BG, forest edge on the left and especially the lone tree creates a very dramatic scenery. Too bad for the humidity level. Good work.

Very beautiful place, and your crisp photo shows it nicely. I like how you placed the tree on the left, keeping the mountains and their reflection as a great frame.
