[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For the last few days we have had a hoar frost here in Wanaka, and finally today the fog cleared and the sun shone. This picture shows the frost on a Rosehip Bush. The hill in the background shade is Mt Iron - the walk to the top is well worth the effort as from the top you have uninterrupted 360degree views of the whole Wanaka basin - a very popular walk with both locals and tourists.

I love the textures of this: the slanted crystals and the stems and berries all set against the dark cliff. You've done superb job on the whites here too: remarkably little blow-out areas

Yep, you were all on the news tonight about the hoar frost you are having.
Wonderful exposure showing the ice and it really stands out against the dark background. Nice composition across the frame.
