[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This yellow admiral I photographed near the fernforest at the beach of Rangitoto Island. Rangitoto is the biggest volcano in the bay southeast of Auckland. No people live there, but there are hiking paths for visitors. The ground is covered by black magma stone, indicating the young age of that island - 600 years. The buttefly made a nice contrast to these stones and was very patient when I photographed it. I did only see it once on my half day hiking tour on that island.

Hello Mike,
I see that you have posted this again so I repeat my critique!
Though a little soft, it contrasts so well against the grey volcanic rock that this Yellow Admiral is well seen and its colours are to be enjoyed.
