It's so nice to see another beautiful photo from you! And this sunrise truly is beautiful. The sky, the sun, the reflections in the water are all superb. I love the leaves framing the top of the picture. Colors, clarity and composition are all gorgeous.

I love the sounds of these names...they sound as though they are perhaps as people saw them hundreds if not more years ago...indigenous ones....and the colours and clarity of the sky so well captured have not suffered as much as one would think. Perhaps it is just what we see and not what we know..

The silhouetted foliage add so much to this image. The colors look more like evening than morning. I think there is strange weather everywhere. I love the gradation of color and the shimmering reflections.

Hello Tony,

The terrible storms have been reported on our news. Seemingly a pleasure boat was in a lot of trouble and passengers were injured.

This looks so calm and tranquil! Who would believe that Mother Nature could have such different moods!

Your low pov is great. Normally, we only see a reflected line of the sun across water, here all the sea has been bathed in gold!

The dangling leaves are an important part of your shot. They anchor the whole scene.

A really lovelt shot. Well done.

What a great way to start a day!
I love the drapery effect of the hanging branches over this sunrise in a great composition with the central placing of the sun as it has just risen above the horizon. Great light and colours that remind me of a Turner painting.

Storms are powerful and beautiful, too. But I hope you are not concerned by the damages it caused. The advantage of a storm is also that it leaves clear air behind. Your clear and peaceful morning atmosphere is certainly also the result of that.

Hi Tony,

I'have get a Email from my family, there was such a bad weather over the North Island. They where at Magawhai for a week. But storm, rain and soaked roads, made their journey back home seriously retarded. So, back to your photo. It's like a painting. Good framework with the trees at the upperside, in cooperation with wonderful color saturation, makes this photo (in my eyes) a beautiful painting.

I have been much occupied lately and although I saw this posting I did not have the time to critique it at that time. Now I have returned to compliment you on such beautiful and peaceful scenery. The sun in the middle of the frame almost hypnotizes you when looking at it. When my eyes leaves the sun, to make time to review the rest of the photo, it is as if a magnetic force pulls me back to the ball of splendour in the far distance. Everything in this photograph proclaims tranquility and peace. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Tony.
It is absolutely clear the pictured view and quality of the shot are amazing. However I wish to say about amazing reproduction of the sun and created by it yellow colour tones. Brilliant. Refined work. DOF is the best as ell as the framing. Tree branches on a FG are looked wonderfully and decorates the image at whole perfectly. Cloudy sky is so beautiful and small ripples on the water are great too. Bravo. Once more superb shot from you. My compliments.
