Although I like this image very much too, as being very detailful and well composed, this time I have to say I liked another one more on the same subject: the one you shot from the top of Lion Rock. But if I haven't seen that I'd like this one 10/10 but this way it's just 9/10 ;) TFS!

Hi Tony,

Apparently no matter which way one faces there is a beautiful view. It's interesting to see the rock from the distance. The rocks, sky and water are as wonderful as ever. I must say I find the foreground a distraction. In spite of that a beautiful scene and composition.

You truly have a beautiful 'island of nature' to live on Tony. I would like to say in many ways that your images as those of Kathleen and Steve R would be enough to attract me...but maybe it would be like reinventing the wheel...I see similar things up in Norcal...not close in aviaries but certainly close in sea mammals and seascapes./....I can hardly wait until Rick Price returns form his loooong trip..he did the NorCal coast. You would love it Tony..You would feel right at home there and if you ever get there...or here then let me know..I have a spare room!

Hello Tony,
If it weren't for the barbed wire fence in the FG this would be a perfect shot, but as it is it is a fine view of the Piha headland with a great stretch of sand and rollers of the beach up to it. The small figures help to add scale.
The sand looks like a type of black volcanic.

This is a wonderful composition showing a beautiful part of your coastline. I think the few people walking on the beach add to the grandeur of this landscape with the waves rolling in between the beautiful rock formations. I like the fence leading down to the beach too and the light and colours are fabulous!

Hi Tony,
Great followup on the previous high POV. It does make a huge difference and gives me a great idea of the area. I like that you actually have some humans in the photo. I can now relate to the scale of this area even more. And, its impressive. Especially the preson in the red jacket on the far right. This really is a very beautiful rough piece of coastline that certainly atracts the photography minded.

This shot revives memories of Wales as it resembles that area very much, with the wiry grass and the rugged rocks. Of course, the black sand is different!
I do appreciate how you are giving us a 'feel' for your country with views from different aspects.
