un altro bellissimo paesaggio marino con questo albero natalizio della NZ, certo molto diverso dal nostro simbolico albero natalizio europeo; splendido primo piano degli alberi dai colori intensi e con il contrasto delle zone d'ombra, ottima nitidezza, bellissima luminosità. Ricambio gli auguiri di Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo.

Dear Tony,
a great pleasure to see the clear colours and powerful contrasts in the strong sunlight of summer that you are enjoying now! You make me feel the hot sun, make me wish to splash into the blue sea, and seek shelter from the heat in the dense shadow of those christmas trees with their fabulous red blossoms. A very well composed image of that invitingly silent and obviously even pleacefully lonesome beautiful place. You are a great ambassador of New Zealand's islands, showing us their never ending beauties and evoking our strong desire to be there.

The colours are terrific,excellent light and exposure.
Well composed ,the POV and DOF are wonderful.
The red really is striking against the blue sky.

Hi Tony,
This is a very beautiful species of a tree. I can imagine that you guys consider this the Christmass tree. The red flower are very atractive to the eye.
I like your composition with a perfect placement of the tree and the horizon. The eye really takes a journey into the photo. Considering the time of the day, you controlled the exposure very good. But I can't seem to wonder how it would have looked like had you taken it in the early morning or late afternoon. I think that shaded areas in the tree would have looked better.

Summer must be getting to its best in your part of the world. I can see it coming through in your photograohs from the current season and this is a really nice capture of the "Pohutukawa" with its flaming flowers. I like the framing and PoV you have used ...the bright blue sky and deep blue waters and dropping little cliff make a nice BG.Very well done again.

The flower of Pohutukawa kinda like our rambutans here :-)
Very good, excellent sharp image with the big trees balances well in this pristine landscape. The light and shadow blended well against the sea and blue sky. Simply beautiful.
