[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this fungi while out walking in a Local Pine forest. I have been unable to ID it.

It has a beautiful yellow top and white gills and was about 15cm across.

I had to rest my camera on the ground to get this angle to to stop camera shake.

I resized the photo in Paintshop Pro, put a small frame and my scribble on it. No other levels or cropping were done.

I hope you enjoy.

Sue, Again a lovely subject, a great POV and lighting, and again a short DOF with that F:2.2.
F8 would have given show most of the fungus into DOF, and this time you had the cam on the ground, so no problem with low speed, you can even use auto shutter to avoid touching th cam ;-)
I like very much your framing. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Sue!
Wonderful capture.DOF,POV,details, lighting and composition are perfect. Thanks for sharing.

LOvely shot Sue.
These are not always easy to take, but you've done well here.
It seems the focus here is strongest on the needles near the base. You could try using spot mode (if you have it) and direst the little cross to a medium range target (eg the gills just under the cap)
Its often very hard to get the cap and the stem in focus at once.Thats why Felipe suggests F8 for greater Depth Of Field

Lovely contrast in colours too (as well as framing and composition). What a beautiful image.

Sue, this looks good. I like the light shining through the 'gills'. Colours and details and cropping seem fine to me, but the guys, Felipe and Steve, know the proper words to say on the intricate matters.
I like your frame too. Well done.

That's beautiful! I love the upward angle, tight composition and simple background. Gorgeous.

I like the golden glow behind this mushroom, the POV is nice, down getting dirty taking this one no doubt! I like the framing it compliments the photo nicely, well done.

Sue it's a beauty,
very good composition, nice light, fantastic colours, good pov and a fantastic dof, very good job I like it a lot,
gr. Jaap

Great lighting and composition. You wouldn't be a mycologist, by chance, would you? The way your photograph fungi is très professional.

Fantastic colours, good point of view.
I like the light coming upside and shining through the 'gills'.
Nice backgroud, and well framed.
