This all happened in about 15 mins while they were flying you could not get to near to them but after they had settled 10 meters was no trouble

How interesting to see them swarming like this David. We had some take over and live in the ceiling of the house we were renting many years ago. We ended up making holes in the ceiling and setting off a 'bora bomb'...
Quite scary to see them flying like this. And I so pleased you had your camera with you too
