I think it looks more like Megacyllene (s.str.) proxima. M. acuta should have 5 bands on pronotum. Please check in:

Una interesante especie de escarabajo, al menos para verlo porque causa daño por lo que cuentas.No creo habelos visto por estos lares, parece grande, que tamaño tiene aproximadamente?
