Thank God !!! I broke my head trying to identify this species. I knew it was undoubtedly the genre Micrathyria, but ... but the genre has 46 species and all quite similar !!! One hell. Anyway, I finally detect an external feature that the difference in quite evident. It has a green stripe down from what we understand as the "neck" Dragonfly until the final and bottom of the chest, right where it meets its long abdomen. Most species of this genus have one or more strips which extend in a more or less diagonal but in reverse. Ie from what might be called the "throat" Dragonfly to final and upper chest.

I hope this information can be useful sometimes.

In February, it's summer time in your country, Hernan. No wonder this dragonfly in your picture looks to happy in the summertime sunshine.
Attractive diagonal composition. The subject gets well highlighted against the plain BG.
Thanks.
Ram

Hello Hernan,

Very nice BG. I prefer such type of BG in Dragonfly or Butterfly picture. Good details and nice sharpness. Good work my friend.

Thanks for sharing,
