Hi all,
Yesterday, november 6th, we celebrate National Parks day (Actually, there is no celebration and only people who love and understand the real meaning and value of this parks remembers it).
This day is mark in the calendar because Francisco P. Moreno (an explorer, nature expert) was payed him for his works for solving the problems with the border line with Chile with 25 leagues of land in Patagonia. At november 6th, 1903 he donate 3 leagues of this lands to the goverment with the porpouse of create the first argentinian National Park (actually it was created at 1916 under South National Park name). This is the biggest National Park in Argentina.
Francisco P. Moreno use the other 22 leagues for founding for dinners and rural schools. He died at 1919, quite poor and forgotten.

During years of lectures and after walking some path of this wonderful national park I learn to thank this old man for his works and wisdom. You donīt need to be THE hero or a visionary to make a work just like this one, to preserve the natural resources, the views and the historical and natural evolution of this part of the world.
With this pic, I just wanna honor him and all the national park guards that really belive in this ideal.

This pic was taken during september 2007 (16hs aprox), when winter was ending and spring sorprise us.

What you can see is (from left to right, names I remember, jeje): the rocks of Quetrihue peninsula (actually, the Arrayanes National Park border), Colu Mahuida mountain (the snowy one at the front) and the Machete Valley. The lake is, of course, Nahuel Huapi lakes.

This "panorama" was made with Canon photo stich programme with three pics taken separately. I know that the union lines can be seen... actually I donīt know how to use photoshop programms....

Good day Brenda from the far, far Argentina. Lovely panorama stitch and nice dedication as well. There is some minor work to be done to complete the circle perfectly well. In Photoshop usually after the stitching process you can use carefuly the Clone Stamp Tool and with reduced Opacity and Flow to 50% start to remove the hard edges of the visible joints. Use a mid size brash for the blue sky and small one for the mountain area. Thanks for your wonderful presentation and have a great day! Greetings from South Africa!!

Hi Brenda,
Happy National Parks day. It's a very beautiful landscape. Thanks for the posting.

Hallo Brenda
This is a beautiful portrayal of an awesome landscape and you have captured it very well. The panorama is the best way showing the wide opened space, the actual size of the snow covered mountains and the masses of water. The variety of blues in the image is really refreshing to look at and has a feeling of tranquillity that surrounds is. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hola Brenda
