Spegazzini glacier is one of the most importar glaciers at Glaciers National Park (Patagonia, Argentina).
Is the tallest glacier at the National Park, reaching 135mts high! It has an area of 66 km ² and an average width of 1.5 km. It is resting on the arm of Lake Argentino Spegazzini.
Named like the botanist Charles Louis Spegazzini, who was the first to study the local flora.
The glacier is fed by glaciers Peineta and Mayo Norte. It also has the feature of not showing signs of decline. |
