|I found this guy in Puerto Manzano´s bay, at Nahuel Huapi´s lake. This kind of birds are very tame, so two big ones and four little ones where walking near me on the beach. |
This time my notes in english will be little poor, because i really can´t translate the cientific clues about this bird.
I just can say to all of you that this is a Cauquén, from chloephaga family. There are three kinds of cauquenes in patagonia: Cauquén común (chloephaga picta),Cauquén Real (chlophaga poliocephaia) and Cauquen Colorado (chloephaga rubidiceps)
If I learn a little more of techical english maybe i can translate more data for you.
hope you like it!

Son bonitos éstos gansos que tuve ocasión de ver también en el lahu Nahuel Huapi. Muy chula.
Hi Brenda, I really like your shot, good composition and nice reflections. I wish colours could be more natural, there is just too much blue ballance. I will make a workshop if u dont mind. :-)
Greetings from Poland!
This Cauquen bird is impressive. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the bird. The subject is well framed. The photo is clear and precise. Have a nice day.
