This dove is very abundant throughout the north central Argentina. Its population is increasing due to increased areas under cultivation and afforestation. And although it may occupy urban areas, it is still quite wild and elusive, headache for fans wildlife photographers.

This particular photograph was obtained from a distance (at least for my camera) as the pair of "macular doves" was perched on top of a tall pine.

Hello Hernan,
Great shot of these beautiful roosting doves. I've learned from visiting my daughter that South America is home to millions of doves. I like hearing them take off with their whistling wings and zig zag flight patterns.
Nicely photographed in sharp focus and natural colors. Attractive composition and lovely blue sky as a BG. Well done!! "Happy Easter"
