A little too artsy in presentation, I know but I tought I'd try something new since my muse smiled to me today ;)...
This was the most amazing bird I encountered in my trip to Tierra del Fuego, a bird I knew nothing about before, the upland goose (Chloephaga picta) known as "cauquen" by the locals.
While it looks they might be two different species rather a goose and a duck, they are the same specie, the male is snow white and large while a more delicate female has a cappucinno brown dress with mocha spots.
The amazing thing about them is their HIGH FIDELITY, the most monogamous animal i've ever seen. You can encounter them everywhere in the austral lands of south America, ranging from a couple to very large numbers, by the hundreds or even more perhaps, however you will never encounter a couple more than one meter away from each other, ever, we even made bets as we trekked Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, we always with no exception saw them cuddling and feed each other gently and if we got too close they flu away in perfectly choreography. It is conforting to realise such thing does exist, isnt it?
On the other hand funny enough, my friend and local guide, Berto, who happens to be very knowledgeable of the local flora & fauna said (in Spanish of course...)to me:
"Radu, these birds are so human, if the female dies her mate commits suicide (dont ask me how...) and if the guy dies first the lovely lady moves on and pick a younger male" . Aside from that these birds stick together like me and trouble... :)

Beautiful shot of the pair on the end of the world. They fit so well to this harsh, monumental landscape. I like the framing too.
Great work!!!
Greetings,
Michal

Hi Radu!
Tierra del Fuego - this sounds great! Beautifull picture with two main subjects - mountains and birds. Excellent note. 'Cold' colours, but I like it very much. Your new frame? Sorry, but no ;-)

I wondered when will you post it because I was curious what these birds are.
Photo is great. Amazing BG that again seems to be not very suitable for the main subject.
I like the framing very much but, sorry, I don't like the frame at all ;) Well, maybe apart from its colour ;) Where this idea came from? You decided to set free your artistic soul? ;)
The note is very interesting, especially the last part with Bertos words. Well it seems there is a seed of true there, but luckily not every lady resemble a goose ;)

very good work TFS Libor

Poza ca de obicei foarte reusita si picturala, povestea si mai si. Lucky you!

Superb composition and great sharpness on the geese. Landsacpes with animals in are hard to get right, but this is stunning. No nits, an excellent presentation.

Radu,
I like the presentation. Very nice picture.
I also like how you did the frame for this one. Works well.
Great shot!
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Radu,
Excellent capture, good sharp detail and colours. Great POV.
Nicely composed and good exposure. Unusual framing, but it works well with this shot.
Thanks for posting, have a great week.

A fantastic shot, Radu. The BG scenery is incredible, and the geese are perfect and lovely. Thanks for the great note as well. TFS. : )

Great image with a lovely composition and cold colours that match the scene very well. The jagged borded definately does not go well with the jagged tops of the mountains in the background. 4 smilies for the image, but 2 smilies deducted for the frame ;-)

Fantastic shot of these geese in their habitat - really tells a story. The less said about the frame the better ;)
Nigel.

cuuuuuudo!!!!:)

Excellent composition,
It is true that we don't get often to see both animals and landscape in the same picture and this picture deserve a big star !!! Subjects are focused and the background is amazing.
Excellent prestation !!!

Hi Radu,
this is a wonderful presentation of the pair in their habitat. Excellent composition, details and colour. Nice 3D effect with the FG in focus and the blurred BG. The zigzag lines that lead into the distance add to that. Really good one!
Regards,
Gabi

Beautiful capture! I really like this one a lot. Great environment shot and the geese are gorgeous. I would dump the frame, I like the text though. :)
