Excelente macro y extraordinario insecto.

Hi Hernan,

Great job using your own macro lens! Really nice colours and sharpness are what stand out to me with a superb background on top.

Would have perhaps been nice to isolate him a bit more from the objects top and bottom of frame but I understand your limitations and so you have done well with what you had - likewise we are unable to see his rear but no matter what we have is a great amount of detail in this twig like specimen.

Hello Hernan,
They are always impressive these branch insects. Excellent presentation with a nice blurried background. I showed the picture to my son and he told me that in biology they had dissected one of these yesterday!!
Best regards

bonjour hernan

Very interesting species, Hernan. Certainly deserves the name. Your image is sharp and has a pleasing background. I wish I could see all of the insect. A little more depth of field wouldn't hurt either. TFS. Regards,

Very interesting insect and a great capture.
Just yesterday I saw a shop selling a boxed one of these here in Istanbul. How interesting I thought and then to see your shot of it was a nice surprise to me. Great background and DOF.

Hi Hernan.
This insect is too long. Few days ago, I have seen the documentary film about life of this species. You have captured the most important part of it. Very impressive shot with great details and colours. I also like the beautiful smooth BG and soft effective lighting. Next your great macro shot. My compliments and TFS.

I love proscopiids !
you guys are lucky to have so many species in S America
