|Another landscape from Bolivia. This one was taken during a 3 day tour that starts at Atacama (Chile) and ends at Uyuni salts (Bolivia). The first night we sleept at a mountain refugee at a small village (I think no more than 50 persons lives there) named Uaiajara (or at least that´s what I´ve been told... was quite a misfortune trip). This place is at about 4300mts over sea level. |
This pictures was taken around 17hs, it was too windy and while afternoon was coming closer, it was getting colder and colder. So that´s why this llama is not in the center of the picture.
At night we´ve been told that temperature was like -20º, but it was the clearest night sky I saw, seems like you can touch the stars.
If you stay long time watching them, they may get in touch with you, but they don´t approach to much, just the necesary.
Llamas are different from Alpacas, guanacos and vicuñas.

a wonderful animal. nice lighting and presentation. tfs.
really interesting animal. It's really uncommon for me. Great point of view. Nice colours. Also interesting place.
Thanks for sharing,
fine capture of this Llama with good sharpness and natural colours. I especially like the lovely sidelight and your well chosen POV.
que bonita imagen la que nos presentas, me dan ganas de poderla ver en vivo!
Gracias por compartir éstas preciosidades.
Saludos cordiales, Ferran
what a strange and seemingly peaceful creature from the far...far Bolivia....and what a Mars like environment high above the see level. Truly fascinating! Bravo Brenda!
The distance between the lama and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the lama and of the scenery. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
