Common Name Whip-leafed Brassavola or in Brazil Munida de chicote = lash or whip
Flower Size 2 1/2 to 3" [6.25 to 7.5 cm]
Found in eastern Brazil as a large sized, hot to warm growing, creeping, epiphytic or lithophytic orchid with elongate, robust, cylindric, 4 to 5 noded, erect or ascending stems carrying a single, apical, reflexed above, rigid, slender, terete, deeply sulcate above, longly subulate, acute apically leaf that blooms in the spring and early summer in cultivation on a lax, short, 4 3/4" to 6" [12 to 15 cm] long, bracteate, 2 to 15 flowered inflorescence subtended by an elongate spathe, and concave, triangular floral bracts with long-lasting, fragrant flowers that arise from the crease at the base of the leaf. |

Nice macro of this orchid. Not in the best quality, but Ron did good work with his workshop. Fine natural colours and sharpness. Excellent POV.

Hello Raimundo,
Nice to see this beautiful flower from Brazil. Quite well captured against blurry BG, although little bit noisy. Color of flower looks natural, although little bit soft. I think f/16 to f/22 would give you stunning DOF.

Hello Raimundo,
Much better then original version, as this one appears a lot sharper. Still a slight problem with noise in the BG, which can easily be removed.
