Besouro
A palavra Coleoptera vem do grego κολεός, koleos (estojo) e πτερόν, pteron (asas), como uma referência a uma importante característica: um par de asas anteriores rígidas, conhecidas como élitros, que protegem como um “estojo” as asas posteriores, que são membranosas e delicadas.
A ordem Coleoptera possui o maior número de espécies dentre todos os seres vivos — cerca de 350 mil — sendo portanto o grupo animal mais diversificado existente. Dentre os seus representantes mais conhecidos estão as joaninhas, os besouros-rinocerontes, os gorgulhos, os escaravelhos, os besouros-serra-pau, os vaga-lumes, os salta-martins e os potós. |

Interesting beetle, nice macro with great details. A tighter crop on both sides would help to concentrate on the insect even more.
