Since I know nothing about the species on the top, below, some information about ants.

Ants have been acclaimed for their wisdom since ancient times. They stand out at, or near, the peak of invertebrate development, displaying memory, learning, and the ability to correct mistakes. However, these intelligences are trapped inside rigid and programmed behavior patterns.

Like human societies, ant communities have their own expertise at the three primary methods of obtaining food: gathering, hunting, and growing. The caste system of ants is believed to have existed for 30 or 40 million years.

Hi Livio,

The ant is great! Very sharp details and superb, shiny colors. Great bg and good POV. Well done & TFS!

Hi Livio,
this is perfect - that combination of these two different insects.
DOF is also perfect, the details are great.
I like the ant so much, just as it is golden
and makes the way free for the other one.
Good manners!
Thanks for showing
Sabine - wishnugaruda

Nice capture Livios.

Hi Livio, This is good! What a catch. The ant is so big and so sharp. And the insect above is very small compared to the ant. Your composition showing the 2 of them is superb! Well done.
I like to look out for your postings each mornng and see what your showing. Have a good day.

Hi Livio, what a meeting ;-) One of best shots of ant I've ever saw on TN, very close macro, detailed and sharp. I don't know what second insect is but it looks also great. Good work!

Oh man.. this ants look like he got armor on, he look great! Nice macro shot, nice details, sharpness and DOF! Very well captured, thanks for sharing. :)

Hi Livio
Great capture for twe species, color and sharpness
In a friendly way Christophe

Great shot Livio! Very interesting combination these two..The bug on top looks like it's from the leafhopper family of insects. I posted one awhile back that's similar called "Sharpshooter"...

These ants are impressive.. all of them. From the aperture setting it looks like you could have gained more DOF by stepping down a bit. I am not sure at what ISO setting this was taken and it could influence my point of view.

Ola Livios
Esta muito boa esta foto.

A great macro Livio!

To have captured both species so sharply is quite an achievement.

The ant is quite well detailed and definitely looking like a predator in this situation.

Well done and thank you for this interesting post.
