|The yellow ipe is the best known Brazilian tree, the most widely grown and, undoubtedly, the most beautiful. No region of the country where there is at least one species of it, but the existence of ipe in their natural habitat these days is rare among most species (Lorenzi, 2000).|
The species Tabebuia alba, native to Brazil, is a species of the genus Tabebuia that has "Ipe Amarelo" as a popular name. The name derives from albus alba (white in Latin) and is due to white tomentum of the stems and new leaves
