Hello dear friends and visitors!
Well...well... I'm a "little" scarce here on the site, but I still love all of you,ok???!!!! eheheheheh And sometimes I comme here to see some lovely pics of my dear friens, like Anne,Anna,Diogo,Asberd,Silvio,Maciej,Nells,Vanda,Jesus,
Luciano,Ron,Carl,Samiran,Helmut,Bill,Peter,Seyfi, Alexei,Marius,Ram,Christodoulos,Brenda and Lou.Someone forgot? I don´t hope so!

This pic was taken last w-end in the beach.while I was lying on a beach chair this vulture came and hovered well above me.Just in time to take a picture. I ´d like it was an eagle, but it is a modest and ugly vulture kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk ... But the sunshine beat its wings and there was a beautiful golden lightness
Hope you like it guys!!!
Big hug from,
aNa

This bird was well identified by Peter van Zoest (PeterZ) as Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture. Thanks dear Peter! I appreciated it!

The Greater Yellow-headed Vulture (Cathartes melambrotus), also known as the Forest Vulture, is a species of bird in the New World Vulture family Cathartidae. It was considered to be the same species as the Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture until they were split in 1964. It is found in South America in tropical moist lowland forests. It is a fairly large bird, with a wingspan of 160–210 cm (63–83 in), a weight of 1.2 to 3.2 kilograms (2.6 to 7.1 lb) and a body length of 70–84 cm (28–33 in). The body plumage is black, and the head and neck, which are featherless, range in color from deep yellow to pale orange. It lacks a syrinx, and its vocalizations are therefore limited to grunts or low hisses.Wikipedia

Hallo Ana
It is great to see a posting from you again. You captured the wide outstretched wings of this Vulture beautifully. It really have an impressive wingspan and the details of the lighter feathers are well seen against the light blue sky. Thanks for sharing and hope to see you back soon. Best wishes.
Anna

"If you love photography indeed .... you have a good heart!" .... Well ...well..well, I hope to see this simple truth in your introduction page, long after I am gone, aNa Ribeiro. ;))) Welcome back!

Hello aNA,
I don't know how I missed this upload from you. Very well done indeed. I am not an expert bird photographer but I really do enjoy this image. You were not lucky - you were there, you had your camera with you and you reacted very well. The translucence on the wingtips is very beautiful. Nice to see an image from you again. Thank you and best wishes.

Bonjour Ana,
De retour avec un vautour, ceci n'est pas très commun comme sujet ;-)
Oui, tu as oublié (intentionnellement(?) George) qui t'a fait tant de WS.
Même si ce n'est pas un aigle, cet oiseau est majetueux!
Comme j'étais malade à plusieurs reprises cet été, je suis en retard pour mon courrier, tu m'excuseras..
A bientôt
Amicalement
Anne

Hi Ana!
First of all thanks for your warms words. I am honored to be a friend of yours :)))
About the shot. The composition is very pleasant and the blue sky is perfect to stand out the bird in flight.
Sharpness and details are good. Masters of these kind of photos teach to selech Shutter Speed 1/1000 (about) for capturing more details...if one have time, of course.
Congratulations : these captures are very difficult. I gave up :))
Um abraço.
ciao! Vanda
