Manduca is a genus of moths in the family Sphingidae, the hawkmoths. The genus is used as a model in the biological sciences. The tobacco hornworm (Manduca sexta) and the tomato hornworm (M. quinquemaculatus) in particular have been very well studied.

Hello Luciano,
Even though a bit tattered and torn, this is still a beautiful specimen. I would imagine the unique pattern on it's wings helps to keep it camouflaged from would be predators. The focus is sharp and exposure is just right, allowing us to view it in fine detail. Well done!!

Proper exposure and light balance again, and the contrast you managed to create between the bright moth and the dark background is simply fantastic. A perfect example how to make a simple scene (a moth with camouflaging colors) spectacular... Bravo!
