Hola Sergio,
this will become one of my favourite pictures at TN. Everything is perfect, focus and sharpness are super-excellent and even the dark parts of the insects are well shown.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Sergio

Another great example of what can a man with ingeniosity do! It's really amazing what you can achieve with such a relative simplt equipment!
I mean the sharpness is magnificent throughout the entire frame, the DOF is impecable, the level of details is most impressive and the perfect lighting really makes everything look great!
Besides all that, you also have a very beautiful diagonal composition to enhance your presentation.

Bravo and TFS

Hi Sergio,
What a rare and beautiful insect! And you have captured two! Everything is perfect and beautiful: colors, background, composition, pose of both animals. And the subject is most interesting!

Hi Sergio,
Great macro again especially in terms of sharpness; seems to be your trademark;-).

Wow. Incredible detail visible here! I love the symmetry between the two bugs -- you'd almost think it was a photoshop effect! The red on green really stands out as well. Fantastic work.

phantastic! All essentials of Macro photography are met, the subject is really exciting. Tanks for sharing it with the TN community. You should add some comment. What kind of creatures are these? Psyllidae ?
Cheers, Dietrich

These are the most curious bugs I have ever seen. I wish I could follow your note in Portugese, Sergio!
Amazingly sharp, clear and colourful image of two of them sharing the same branch. Apparently these are small creature and your macro of them is just perfect.
Thanks for sharing this unusual image.

Amazing macro, Sergio.
Fascinating shapes of these bugs.
Wonderfully sharp details and well-saturated colors.
Their appendages make them look like thorns on the plant stem.
A note about the insects would be greatly appreciated.
Beautiful composition.

Hello Sergio,
Fabulous sharp shot of these two very peculiar, vicious-looking bugs. Inceredible weapons they carry and the colours are beautiful. Would be nice to know the size of them, but I presume they're tiny? Brilliant composition!
Many thanks, Ulla

Ola Sergio,
Otra imagen impresionante !

Igualmente...
Un cordial saludo desde Argentina.

Hola Sergio,

WOW! What a picture of 2 incredible insect (do you know their names/genus/family)? Focus, point of view and exposition cannot be better..! The only point IMHO is that you cropped too much: I would have leave more space around the insects...
But no doubts that it is an awesome photo!!!

Hello Sergio,

incredibly shaped creatures, very well captured, perfectly focussed with ideally fitting depth of field to achieve excellent details all over those bizarre shapes, wonderful vivid colours, magnificent light with nice reflections.

Well decided close approach to see these cicadas as large as possible. The species seems to belong to

genus: Umbelligerus,
family: Membracidae,

which has many bizarrely shaped species in the tropics of South America. Very good contribution. Thank you!

Best regards,

Hi Sergio,
Another great macro shot (I think you using only part from the original shot, is is true?).
You also have a very beautiful diagonal composition and fantastic colors.

Well done

Hello Sergio!
