[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of these days I posted this same species. On my note concerning this previous post, I wrote I didn't know how to identify the bug.

I was told this is a ladybug. I'm not sure about it. Maybe because in my childhood I was used to them having black spots on their red bodies.

The size of the insect above is less than 1 centimeter.

Assuming this is ladybug, I must tell you that here in Brazil they are known as "Joaninha", which means Little Joanna.

Lovely work Livio, the colours are vibrant and it's a very nice composition. Excellent work.

I don't think this is a ladybird, I would start with Chrysomelidae - Leaf beetles.

Linda composição Lívio!! Ainda chego lá! Parabéns!

Obs: Vou ter contar heim... essa flor vai começar a pedir direitos autorais daqui apouco rs.

Great shot Livio, good clarity, great colours and nice POV.
Looks like he has been stuffing himself on the petal on the right.
TFS.

Another very nice macro shot Lívio. Subject is tack sharp with good POV.

The colours of this picture are unreal. What warmth! The details of the insect and of the flower center are so clear! Great picture!

Great macro for such a small bug Livio. Very well done

Great macro Livio.
I like the colouts of the bug.
Good colours, POV, composition and details.
Great work.

Hi Livio, this splendid beetle is Diabrotica speciosa (Chrysomelidae, Galerucinae), it's an important row crop and vegetable pest, including maize, cucurbits, and soybeans.
