Alberto de Agostini National Park is located in the Chilean part of Tierra del Fuego. It covers 14,600 square kilometres and includes the Cordillera Darwin (mountain range). The park is named after Alberto María de Agostini, who was an Italian missionary and explorer.

A highlight of the park is the Avenue of the Glaciers, where the word avenue is used in a figurative sense describing a zone of the north-west arm of the Beagle Channel from which is possible to appreciate several beautiful glaciers when sailing along the north shore of it. These glaciers are: España, Romanche, Alemania, Italia, Francia and Holanda.

Hi Sky,
Looks like you've been travelling. This is great, it's amazing to see the sheer scale of the thing. A shame the sun is ahead of you but I'm guessing this was taken from the water so probably not much you could do about that. The detail we can see is very good and interesting to see the 'blue ice' on the upper surface. Very interesting.

Hi sky,
Amazing view of this glacier. Great POV and sense of depth here. WOW! that is awesome!

Hello Sky,
A wild and hostile landscape is well captured!
I like the symmetry of the composition, and the colour of the glacier is well visible over the distance!

Hi Sky,
Superb shot of the glacier. The water level shot and the symmetrical mountain range are well captured. The blue colour looks so nice. Very nicely composed and framed. Kudos.

Hello Sky,
Nice shot on this huge glacier. TFS this majestic view of a place that difficult to reach.

Hello Sky
Excellent shot of this wonderful scene,
Perfect compo and lighting,Welldone.

hi sky,
this is really a massive glacier presented well, nice point of view, liked the composition too,
tfs & regards

Hi SKy,
It is a pity that darker areas of the photo have some noise, but the rest of the photo is really spectacular. I really like the fact that most of the photo has a kind of dark color while the glacier ice sticks out with the blue color. The entire photo has a bit of a sinister mood.

Wow, ....what an amazing site to see. Truly beautiful photo. I like the way you've centered it in the middle of the photo with the cliffs making a nice border..and the lake...awesome shot. TFS
It must have been amazing to see....

Thanks for your comments on my photo '" Taking a Break (6) " :o)

Hi Sky.
What an amazing view you have pictured and shared. Wonderful POV, framing and composition. Sharpness and details of the image are perfect. Only it seems to me contrast is weak a bit. TFS and best wishes.

Hello Sky !
Once more, you show us a most impressive landscape ! This is an amazing sight ! I love the composition and the soft colors, but also the beautiful mood of this picture - these old stones covered with ice look so massive, but also peaceful. Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures, Sky.

Hello Sky,
Huge, monumental amd scary - that's my impression of this glacier. The colour of the ice is amazing. The mist in the air gives a mysterious character to that shot.
Best greetings,

Hello Sky,
This is a stunning picture! Those colors, exposure, details and POV are just great! Like I said before, you saw sceneries in this trip that make me dream about traveling too. Well done again! Thanks!

Hi there Sky,

I have always wanted to go to Chile, but for some reason I just never went there. I hope I will be able to go there some day though. Your picture is very nice altough I have the feeling it's a wee bit underexposed. Don't you just love these tidewater glaciers? I have seen a lot of them in Alaska and I love them.
