Hairstreak ID Help
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Today I'm the one looking for help. I found this Hairstreak, probably from the Micandra group of Genera, at about 2500m on the western Andean slopes near Bellavista. If anyone, maybe Jesus from Venezuela, can narrow down the ID search a bit, that would be a great help. I've looked at a number of web sites and books but so far to no avail. The upperside has noticeable blue on it near the apex of the forewing and the tornus of the hindwing.|
Handheld from some distance (3m to 4m) with ring flash that may not have done anything to help at that range. Used Neat Image to help with noise reduction, then Photoshop Elements 6.
Because of range and poor light, also had to use ISO1600 setting on the camera. Stretching the technology a bit, I think.

Very beautifull capture with natural colours, great POV and DOF. Well done!

Usually I look forward to you for help but now you are looking for. I can not help with the ID but I liked this species which you have captured well enough to see the beauty. I liked the tail of the butterfly and the leaf ending matching here. tfs.
