thanks a lot for this wonderful picture and i am definately feeling better after going through this post of yours. I too wish to see Sumon, Rob, Joe and Howard back like the good old days as i and the other members will miss their contribution here as great nature photographers.
For me too TN is a special place and i have surely spent maximum of my online browsing time on this site. I hope that everything becomes fine with time.

What I see here is a very wide view of a meandering river. the analogies as per your notes are interesting and Jungian. first off it is a great image and simply wonderful in a technical way...but if you apply a bit of philosophic to this...The rivers are windy as our paths in life. we never know which way we will be headed...and then you have the clouds...clouds are philosophically very important and I need not go into that in details..but to combine the two...the unknown winding path on which we all are in life and the river and the clouds which sometimes get in our way as if we cannot see clearly...yet we can see...and thank goodness for that.
All of your well chosen words are true...and so mote it be...May you and your camera keep on clicking!

Great dedication to our unjustly treated, Great Photographer friend. As I wrote to Howard I am sharing his rightful reproach and also you are absolutely right that we have to think these events may be performed for many active members! As you known I became a member of TN a short time ago and I learnt so much from these Great photographers.
Like you I also hope this site to be back in peace soon...
Your shot is excellent in all araund as usual.
Many thanks once more for this sensitive dedication!
All the best!

Beautiful dedication to our dear friends. There is another name on the list but since he didn't leave a comment I won't mention names. I'm assuming if critique privileges are removed one can still comment. This is an amazing scene with beautiful colors and fantastic patterns. It is so peaceful - I only wish that TN can see this peace once again.

Just amazing landscape. The combination of colours, clouds and lighting in different levels makes it so beautiful. Very well done. No smileys as you wish but obviously deserves full points.
I find it discusting that the admin is treating few of the best members like this. OK, may have been a slight breach of their policies. However, they have allowed that in practice and almost every active member is guilty of doing the same now and then. Now they have started by direct bans without any warnings individual or general. That is not how things should be dealt with. I hope they will come to senses very soon or they may loose all the best photographers.

Lovely shot to dedicate to our friends, infortunatly another has fallen foul of the system as Paul has now had his account disabled too, hopefully we will soon have peace and our friends back where they belong.

I agree, my dear friend, Selen!
Life is made more beautiful by this site, home, as you and I call it...To each unto himself, but don't let the current deter you from swimming, else you drown...So lets still do what we do best, and keep the ball rolling!
A dreamy shot, a dream of a shot!
Respect to you, and all our friends at 'Home'!

I am not too sure what has being going on - I had seen that it has something to do with marking and posting critiques later? The only reason I have not done so is that my PC will not let me - so much so, that if I get to 20 crits in a day and then want to edit, the smileys go and I end up writing/awarding less smileys.
I agree, it does seem quite unecessary. The site will be poorer without these people.

Hi, dear Selen.
You have shared a terrific note and so amazing picture. I agree with almost your word. Only it is so pity that you need break-time.
You shot is fantastic, technically and by subjects. Opening from plane window view is breathtaking. Many thanks for this masterpiece and hearty words to all of us.

YOU, yes, "YOU" are the, "THE" best of the best.
I LOVE TN.
This is my "HOME".
I've learnt SOOOOOOOOOOO much here; will never be able to re-pay the "FOUNDERS" & "CONTRIBUTORS".
This site has ALWAYS LEFT ME "SPEECHLESS".
This is a WONDERFUL world; let us work for it to continue as such.
Much love to all.
Mario from COLD COLD Calgary, even in the Summer months.
TN, however, has always brought "WARMTH" to my heart & ailing, tired, 72 year old body.
GREAT GREAT IMAGE. Have to place a "smiley" with points.

I have returned with a heavy heart thinking that maybe my this step will help others too. I value your thinking and hope someday everyone of us will be together like before and all will have so much fun watching and critiquing each others works. I wait for you as well as for others too.
This is a fine picture which not only shows your talent as a photographer but also shows that you have a big heart with a resolute mind. Words always cannot describe feelings and here it goes for me. A big thanks again for sharing this shot and your thoughts with everyone.
